Harvest
Creating Year-Round Dining in the Heart of Harvard Square
A Seamless Blend of Heritage and Modern Comfort
Located at 44 Brattle Street in historic Harvard Square, Harvest has been a culinary institution in Cambridge since 1975. Originally designed by architect and founder Benjamin Thompson, the restaurant has long been celebrated for its seasonal New England cuisine and timeless ambiance—once even drawing the likes of Julia Child through its doors.
When it came time to reimagine their outdoor space, Harvest partnered with Boston Pergolas to bring the same level of elegance and refinement to their back patio. The result is a fully weatherproof, year-round dining experience that complements the restaurant’s legacy.
A motorized louvered roof system provides flexible coverage, opening to the sky on sunny days or closing tight during rain or snow. Clear vinyl motorized screens protect guests from wind and cold while maintaining views and fresh air. The patio’s warmth is ensured with gas Habanero heaters and a striking log fireplace, while luxurious furnishings and thoughtfully redesigned lighting create an intimate, upscale atmosphere.
This elegant transformation extends Harvest’s renowned farm-to-table experience into every season, offering guests the opportunity to dine outdoors in total comfort—without compromise.
